Deep Learning: According to the first edition of the EU-U.S. terminology and taxonomy for artificial intelligence, the word “Deep Learning” means a subset of machine learning based on artificial neural networks that employs statistics to spot underlying trends or data patterns and applies that knowledge to other layers of analysis. Some have labeled this as a way to “learn by example” and as a technique that “perform[s] classification tasks directly from images, text, or sound” and then applies that knowledge independently.
